Structure of Module 1 – APS 1.2.0

Module 1 of the Agricultural Production Standard is organized into three submodules The first submodule describes the mechanisms for worker representation through the Fair Trade Committee and establishes its functions. The second submodule establishes the process for deciding on the use of the Fair Trade premium, considering the needs of the workers.

The third submodule shows some additional requirements for the empowerment of small producers. All criteria in Module 1 are critical criteria. Some are required from Year Zero, but many are required in subsequent years. There are no Progress criteria in this module.
